Payment is requested at the time of consultation.  All accounts are to be paid within one month of the issue of invoice.  Any late payments will result in penalty fees of $10 per month.

If payment in full would cause hardship, please consult our staff who will help negotiate an acceptable payment plan.

Overdue accounts referred to a Collection Agency and will incur additional costs which are your responsibility.

Late payment

An administration fee of $10 will be added to overdue accounts monthly.

If you are unable to pay your account on the day, please speak to our receptionists. We are happy to discuss alternative ways of managing your account. Setting up regular weekly payments can help reduce debt.

You may also qualify for some assistance from WINZ/MSD. This may be in the form of a WINZ redirection to pay your debt, a one-off payment in special circumstances, or some form of disability assistance. If you do not already have a community service card, you may also qualify for this.

Please contact MSD on 0800 599 099 or go to check.msd.govt.nz to see what assistance you may qualify for.

No payment

If payment is not made by the end of the month and you haven’t made other arrangements with us, we will:

Require payment prior to services. This includes consultations with the doctors, nurse and prescription requests. You may be asked to make payment in practice.

Our practice manager may want to discuss your account and seek ways to help you manage it.

If the account has been overdue for sometime and no effort has been made to reduce this we will refer patients to a debt collection agency. As per our terms and conditions, debt collection fees will be added to the account.

Whilst not our preference, Grahams Road Medical has the right to review your current enrolment with us.
